Classes

New and returning students are always welcome!   We are open year round.

INTRODUCTION TO ART FOR STUDENTS FIVE AND OLDER:  Students will be introduced to the different mediums and techniques of graphite and colored pencil drawing, pastel, acrylic and oil painting and clay sculpture.  We have samples for the kids, so they may pick and choose what they want to work on.  Your child may choose to try a painting of a waterfall in acrylic paint, another child may choose to try a colored pencil drawing of a cat, etc.  This encourages your child to try different subjects and materials without fearing competition. 

If you like, you may have your child try one class for $20, see if he or she likes it, and we can go from there.

Class times are as follows:

Mondays:  4pm to 5pm / 5pm to 6pm / 6pm to 7pm

Tuesdays:  4pm to 5pm / 5pm to 6pm / 6pm to 7pm/ 7 to 8 pm

Wednesdays: 4pm to 5pm / 5pm to 6pm / 6:15pm to 7:15pm

Saturdays:  9am to 10am / 10am to 11am/ 11am to Noon / 11:30 am to 12:30pm

Students may choose to take a one-hour class every week, or a 2-hour class every other week. 

 For example, Monday 5 to 6, or  Wednesday 5 to 7, etc.

1 hour per week x 4 weeks = $80.00 per month
2 hours every other week = $80.00 per month
Payment is on a monthly basis.  Supplies are included.
 

INTRO TO ART FOR STUDENTS AGES 12 AND OLDER:  Teens and tweens, have we got a class for you!  We keep our ratio five students to a teacher, so you will finally get all the attention you deserve!   Imagine, 2 hours without texting!  :)  Tuesdays or Thursdays:  5 to 7 pm or 6 to 8 pm  Two hours every other week = $80.00 per month   Portfolio Prep for College Admission:  Students will create and edit pieces of art work to create a professional portfolio to present to prospective colleges.  Usually takes about three months.  Students are encouraged to start in their junior year!  Available upon request.
